Wild celebrations in Paris after PSG's Champions League win
Briefly

Thousands of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fans celebrated the club's historic Champions League final victory on the streets of Paris. While most celebrations were peaceful, clashes ensued, leading to nearly 300 arrests, with many detained for possessing fireworks. Police faced disturbances near the Champs-Elysees, where scuffles broke out, and they had to use a water cannon to disperse crowds. Outside Paris, a car incident injured fans in Grenoble. Despite these incidents, the overall atmosphere was jubilant, reflecting a long-awaited triumph for PSG, acknowledged by President Macron.
'Troublemakers on the Champs-Elysees were looking to create incidents and repeatedly came into contact with police by throwing large fireworks and other objects,' police said in a statement.
One 20-year-old PSG supporter, Clement, said: 'It's so good and so deserved! We have a song that talks about our struggles and it hasn't always been easy. But we got our faith back this year with a team without stars. They're 11 guys who play for each other.'
