Fremont police looking for dog, owner after deadly attack at park: 'Justice For Cheese'
"Cheese was our family. He was sweet, gentle, loving - pure joy in the shape of a little dog. Now the house is quiet,"
"So sad, that's very sad, seriously, what if that happened to my dog, you know, you got to feel the moment, whoever is going through this,"
"You know, when I see a bigger dog every time I see I just carry him because you never know,"
"I was like, holy crap so I picked up my dog, kicking it away - the owner realizes what happened and calls it back,"
Fremont police released information about a deadly dog attack that occurred October 23 in Central Park. A medium-sized dog off leash attacked a smaller leashed dog while the smaller dog's owner watched. The smaller dog, named Cheese, spent five days in the ICU and died days after the attack. Police posted a photo believed to show the suspected dog and its owner and are asking for help identifying them. Residents expressed concern about safety at the park and recalled prior close calls with off-leash dogs. A GoFundMe titled "Justice for Cheese" was created for the family.
