Maddie Spears, 17, began her senior year of high school and attended her softball team's senior night with family present. She posed for photos with her younger sister Ivey and cousins Sean Preston and Jayden James, who have been living with their father in Hawaii since 2023. A family photo included mother Jamie Lynn Spears and stepfather Jamie Watson. Maddie uses Watson's last name on social media and is the daughter of Jamie Lynn and ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge. Maddie suffered a torn labrum last fall, underwent surgery, returned to play, then reinjured her shoulder and now wears a black arm sling while recovering.
