"Colossal has always emphasized great imagery when sharing art, photography, design, and more. We're often thinking about ways to make the site more interactive and highlight all the phenomenal visuals. This week, we launched a new gallery feature."
"In the body of any article, you can now click on images, and they will open in a gallery, free from text distractions other than the caption information-if available."
"Navigate with your mouse by clicking the arrows at the bottom of the window, or use your keyboard's arrow keys to navigate back and forth. If you use the arrow keys or click anywhere outside of the black navigation bar, the bar and the caption (if there is one) will disappear, leaving just the image in your browser window. To exit, simply hit the little "x" in the upper right corner. Happy scrolling!"
Colossal introduced a new in-article gallery that opens images free from surrounding text, preserving caption information when available. Users can click images to enter the gallery and navigate using on-screen arrows or keyboard arrow keys. Pressing arrow keys or clicking outside the black navigation bar hides the controls and caption, leaving only the image visible. Exiting the gallery requires clicking the small "x" in the upper-right corner. Colossal invites readers to become members to support independent arts publishing and lists member benefits including hiding advertising, saving favorites, shop discounts, a members-only newsletter, and giving for K–12 art supplies.
