A noble effort: Classical Up Close enters thirteenth season * Oregon ArtsWatch
Briefly

Classical Up Close (CLUC) is a celebrated series of free concerts performed by Oregon Symphony musicians around Portland, now in its 13th year. Founded after a canceled trip in 2012, CLUC has grown in popularity, becoming a cherished event within the community. Concertmaster Sarah Kwak and other members dedicate extensive planning to deliver high-quality performances. The series provides a unique opportunity for residents to experience world-class music locally, fostering a deeper appreciation for classical music and support for the local musicians.
Full disclosure, I'm a founding board member of Classical Up Close, which is Oregon Symphony musicians independent of the symphony (fiercely so) putting on free concerts around the community every Spring.
This is our 13th year. The series was born from a scheduled trip to New York in 2012 which was canceled sort of last minute.
