Aaron Franklin, renowned barbecue chef and owner of Franklin Barbecue in Austin, Texas, is returning to Portland for a two-day pop-up event at Function on June 7-8. This event, done in partnership with Meanwhile Beer, will showcase po'boys from Franklin's Uptown Sports Club, a revived sports club turned New Orleans-style restaurant. Patrons can look forward to sandwiches made with authentic Leidenheimer rolls, featuring options like roast beef with brisket debris gravy and shrimp, along with sides like pimento cheese dip. Meanwhile Beer will feature prominently at Function throughout June.
