At PyCon US this year, the EuroPython Society marked its debut with a booth, fostering connections among Python enthusiasts and presenting insights into its activities, grants program, and future initiatives. The event featured an announcement about a documentary by Cult Repo on Python's history, set to premiere at EuroPython, featuring key contributors. Several community awards were presented to influential members, including chair Artur Czepiel and Karolina Surma. The gathering emphasized networking opportunities, with memorable moments captured during informal gatherings, showcasing the strong community spirit within the Python ecosystem.
This year, for the first time, the EuroPython Society had a booth at PyCon US, providing an opportunity to connect with other Python communities.
The filmmakers from Cult Repo are producing a documentary celebrating the history of Python, featuring over 20 core developers and premiering at EuroPython.
Our chair, Artur Czepiel, and former board member Laís Carvalho received community awards for their significant contributions.
We enjoyed moments of camaraderie outside of sessions, making the pleasant informal interactions a highlight of attending the conference.
