Cafés, pubs, and venues across Westport run talks, performances, and social events throughout the weekend. Ballyhaunis concludes its Summer Festival on Sunday, May 31, beginning with a Festival Family Night on Friday evening. Saturday features the Mayo Motor Meets Show, and Sunday includes a Kiddies Fun Day and a Ballyhaunis Music Festival with live acts from 7pm to midnight. The Westport Horse and Pony Show returns to Drummindoo Stud on May 31 and June 1, 2026, with classes and competitions including show jumping and dressage.
"Westport has become synonymous with Mayo Pride, which returns to the banks of the Carrowbeg River this weekend for a full three-day festival. The festival opens on Friday night with Ballinrobe's own Panti Bliss, who'll be performing 'If These Wigs Could Talk'. The showpiece event is Saturday's uber-colourful Pride Parade, which kicks off from the Fairgreen at 1.30pm. Cafés, pubs and venues throughout the town will host talks, performances and social events across the weekend."
"The ongoing Ballyhaunis Summer Festival concludes this Sunday, May 31. There'll be plenty to do in the town over the weekend, starting with the Festival Family Night in the Community Hall, running from 5pm to 11pm on Friday, May 29. Saturday, May 30, will see Knox Street and the Main Street car parks host the Mayo Motor Meets Show, which will showcase a variety of cars and engines from 3pm to 5.30pm."
"There will be a full day of events on Sunday, May 31, as Main Street will host a Kiddies Fun Day from 12.30pm to 4pm. This will be followed by Ballyhaunis Music Festival, featuring live performances from The Halez (who are fronted by Ballinglough native Kieran Murphy), Brad Heidi and Beggers Velvet from 7pm until midnight."
"The Westport Horse and Pony Show returns to Drummindoo Stud on May 31 and June 1 2026. Long established as one of Mayo's standout agricultural and equestrian gatherings, the show isn't just for equine enthusiasts. As well as a wide range of classes and competitions, from show jumping and dressage to pony classes"
