The Clackamas County Sheriff's office confirmed the identity of a missing kayaker, Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez, aged 20, who went missing after reportedly going over Willamette Falls. This confirmation came after five days of intense searching. Rodriguez, from Porterville, California, was vacationing with his family in the area and was last seen kayaking, possibly unaware of the hidden hazards posed by the falls.
"Investigators learned Marcelus and his family were on vacation and arrived in the area on Saturday evening. Marcelus was last seen kayaking in the area and may not have known the falls were there."
