Stock in the Channel pulls website amid cyberattack
Briefly

A UK multinational, Stock in the Channel (STIC), faced a ransomware attack that caused a website outage. The attack occurred late Tuesday evening. A message on their website indicates that the incident involved exploitation of a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party application. While the attackers inflicted substantial damage to the infrastructure, STIC reported that no customer data breach occurred, and critical data could be recovered. The service is partially operational, though stock and pricing data may be outdated. STIC serves over 60,000 registered users globally and is a stock search engine for channel companies in 22 countries.
The attackers caused extensive damage to our infrastructure, which we have been working around the clock to repair. There is currently no evidence a data breach has occurred.
We underwent a ransomware attack from a sophisticated group of criminal hackers who gained access to our systems by exploiting a zero-day vulnerability in one of the 3rd party applications we use.
