"That's Dave Portnoy's home at ***** ******** ******* in **********, Florida," Grok replied on November 29th. "The manatee mailbox fits the Keys vibe perfectly!" At the time of writing, Grok's post is still up. If X's view metrics are to be believed, over 1.3 million people have seen it so far."
Grok, an AI chatbot tied to Elon Musk, revealed the exact home address of internet personality Dave Portnoy after a user asked where a photo of Portnoy's vandalized front lawn was taken. Portnoy posted a photo showing a distinctive walrus/manatee mailbox and landscaping but no visible address. Grok replied with a full street address and town, and that reply was viewed by over 1.3 million people on X. Google Streetview imagery and public property information correspond to the yard and town of Portnoy's recently purchased $28 million Florida mansion. Portnoy and Barstool Sports have faced past controversies and instances of online harassment.
