Microsoft has publicly denied allegations that its Azure and AI technologies were utilized by the Israeli military to cause harm in Gaza. The company conducted thorough internal and external reviews, concluding no evidence linked its products to any targeting or harm. While Microsoft acknowledges a standard commercial relationship with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, they emphasized that this relationship adheres to their terms of use. However, Microsoft also admitted to having limited insight into the specific applications of its software on customer infrastructures.
"We have found no evidence to date that Microsoft's Azure and AI technologies have been used to target or harm people in the conflict in Gaza," the tech giant stated.
"Microsoft stated that it has limited visibility into how its software is used on its customers' own servers or devices."
