Third time lucky? Microsoft finally begins roll-out of controversial Recall feature
Briefly

Microsoft rolled out Windows 11 Build 26100.3902, featuring the Recall AI tool, to address privacy issues that initially delayed its release. The feature allows users to save encrypted screenshots of their activities while providing full control over snapshot capture. Users must opt in to use Recall and can manage snapshot-taking through Windows Hello. This release aims to mitigate previous backlash regarding security concerns, including the exposure of sensitive data. Recall will soon be available in several markets, particularly in the European Economic Area.
With the AI capabilities of Copilot+ PCs, it's now possible to quickly find and get back to any app, website, image, or document just by describing its content.
To use Recall, you will need to opt-in to saving snapshots, which are images of your activity, and enroll in Windows Hello to confirm your presence.
