More than $8 million will be allocated to Alameda County Community Food Bank, which anticipates 13,000 to 19,000 additional daily food-seekers by November on top of the usual 60,000 served. An extra $1.5 million was raised from Crankstart, Steph Curry's Eat, Learn, Play Foundation, and local offices to support emergency food programs. Santa Clara County pledged $4.5 million, and Marin supervisors are expected to consider $800,000 for direct food assistance.
