East Tennessee Children's Hospital Renamed in Honor of Dolly Parton
"Ever since I've been in a position to do my part to help others, I have tried to do just that, especially when children and families need it most. I've believed that every child deserves a fair chance to grow up healthy, hopeful, and surrounded with love."
"Parton has certainly shown a commitment to medicine over the past several years. After contributing $1 million to fund research for Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine in 2020, she more recently donated another million to pediatric infectious disease research."
Knoxville's East Tennessee Children's Hospital has been renamed Dolly Parton Children's Hospital in recognition of the singer's substantial charitable work. Parton has demonstrated a strong commitment to healthcare and children's welfare through multiple major donations. In 2020, she contributed $1 million to support Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine research. More recently, she donated another million dollars to pediatric infectious disease research. Parton emphasized her belief that every child deserves a fair chance to grow up healthy, hopeful, and loved. She has consistently used her position to help others, particularly families and children in need. Her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is scheduled for September.
