Community members can provide feedback for the Portsmouth Square public art project, ensuring the chosen art represents their voices. Comments can be submitted online or in person until July 21 at designated locations. The selected sculptures include Living Room/Living Gate, celebrating hospitality and community, xietian xiedi, an interactive piece honoring resilience and joy, and Nuwa's Hand, a mythic tree sculpture. These artworks aim to reflect the rich history and vibrant culture of Chinatown, creating a welcoming environment for visitors and residents alike.
Providing public comments is an essential part of our public art selection process. We encourage all those who are interested, especially those that actively use the public space or who live nearby, to share their feedback.
