The owner of 11700 Flower Scent Court applied to rezone the lot from single-family residential (SF-1) to small-lot single-family residential (SF-2). City staff supported the rezoning, noting similar zoning nearby and that the owner preferred building two similarly sized homes on roughly 8,000-square-foot lots instead of three smaller units allowed under the HOME initiative. The Zoning and Platting Commission heard the case on August 19. The owner did not attend the hearing. Neighbors raised concerns about traffic and environmental impact. The homeowner association claimed the proposed separated housing would violate a deed restriction and said it would seek enforcement.
