Stanford Shopping Center lands new merchants in burst of retail deals
""Palo Alto and Stanford Shopping Center are extremely desirable spots, similar to being in Beverly Hills or on Rodeo Drive," said David Taxin, a partner with Meacham Oppenheimer, a commercial real estate firm. "Palo Alto has the highest retail rents in the Bay Area and some of the highest in California.""
""Palo Alto is doing great even with all of the problems in retail," Taxin said. "A lot of national companies want to be in Palo Alto and Stanford Shopping Center. The leasing market in the entire South Bay, including San Jose, is good right now""
Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto has added several new retailers and a first Northern California restaurant, reflecting robust local demand. Rivian opened near Neiman Marcus by Arboretum Road. Reformation opened its first South Bay and Peninsula store near Vuori. American Vintage will open its first Northern California store in September near Vince. Swarovski is open next to Bloomingdale's. Veronica Beard will open its first South Bay and Peninsula store in September near David Yurman. On Running will open in October near Vuori and Allbirds. Zaytinya will open its first Northern California restaurant in October in the redevelopment near RH and Dumpling Time. Palo Alto has some of the highest retail rents in the Bay Area and California, and the South Bay leasing market is currently strong.
