Road Trip Part 2: Craig To Salt Lake City - 1500 Days to Freedom
"Today we left Craig Colorado and headed to Salt Lake City (SLC). Utah is our first new state: In Salt Lake City, we saw a whale breaching from the center of a roundabout, the state capitol, and Temple Square: Numbers miles covered: 329 total miles 580 squats: 160 (I do body weight squats at rest stops) total squats: 260 FSD interventions: 1"
"(On a rural highway, the car mistook tar lines in the road for an obstruction and swerved. I didn't wait to see what the car was going to do and took over. Maybe Tesla was too hasty to abandon LIDAR or at least HD radar? On the other hand, when FSD has issues, it's always in rural areas. It does great in Longmont. The Tesla fanboys would say it's lack of data in rural areas. Dunno.) total FSD interventions: 1"
Left Craig, Colorado and drove to Salt Lake City, marking Utah as the first new state on the trip. Visited a roundabout with a whale breaching sculpture, the state capitol, and Temple Square. Recorded 329 miles covered for the day and 580 total miles; completed 160 squats at rest stops for a total of 260 squats. Experienced one Tesla FSD intervention when the car misinterpreted tar lines as an obstruction and swerved, prompting manual takeover. Plans include stops in Reno, Santa Rosa to meet friends and see Buddy Guy, then Morro Bay via San Francisco.
