Daniels said Platner presented himself as a savior for working-class Americans while his background reflected privilege, including elite private-school access. Daniels also claimed Platner had disparaged other veterans, including decorated Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and Vice President JD Vance. Daniels said Platner cheered for his death from behind a keyboard despite Daniels receiving a Purple Heart for his wounds.
