"My role is simple: work to make AI fair for everyone, regardless of their views. That's a goal anyone who believes in fairness should support. Robby Starbuck is a right-wing, anti-LGBTQ+ pundit and former music video director who ran unsuccessfully for Congress. He sued Meta after the company's AI chatbot falsely claimed he participated in the 6 January 2021 US Capitol riot, seeking $5 million in damages. As part of an August settlement he was appointed to advise Meta on preventing political bias in its AI. Since the appointment he has faced accusations of promoting extremist claims, framing shooters as motivated by leftist ideology, referring to faith-based protest groups as communities, and linking Democratic lawmakers to murders.
