Introducing Icons: add any icon library to your Ruby app
Briefly

"Almost two years ago I published Rails Icons; now the core is extracted into a new gem for any Ruby apps: Icons"
"If you use one of the many other amazing Ruby frameworks, like Hanami, Rodauth or maybe Padrino you cannot use Rails Icons. Or what if instead of Perron (a Rails-based SSG), you use Jekyll, Middleman or Bridgetown? You still cannot use Rails Icons. Sad! With Icons you can!"
The Icons gem extracts the core functionality of Rails Icons into a standalone library that any Ruby application can use. The gem removes Rails-specific constraints so frameworks like Hanami, Rodauth, and Padrino can access the icon set. The gem also enables static site generators such as Jekyll, Middleman, and Bridgetown to reuse the same icons previously limited to Rails. The extraction provides a framework-agnostic interface for rendering icons, simplifies integration across Ruby ecosystems, and enables consistent icon usage in non-Rails projects and sites.
