Crazy Mountain 100 Mile is a point-to-point ultramarathon in Montana featuring over 23,000 feet of climbing across remote wilderness, ranchland, and high alpine terrain. The course passes Cow Camp aid station twice, at roughly miles 33 and 55, after a climb to Conical Peak. Cow Camp operates as a horse- and mule-supplied backcountry aid station staffed by around 15 volunteers and 10 horses each year, packing in over 1,000 pounds of supplies. The station provides hot pizza, cold sodas, ice, solar power, music, themed costumes, and lively volunteer entertainment while volunteers camp on-site for multiple days to support runners.
Cow Camp aid station combines the expertise of cowboys/cowgirls, outdoors people, and grizzled ultrarunners to create a horse- and mule-supplied wilderness aid station that serves hot pizza, cold sodas, and ass-shaking dance moves.
