On Easter Sunday, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians, urging them to maintain hope for peace amidst the ongoing conflict which has lasted 1,152 days. Speaking from Kyiv's Saint Sophia Cathedral, he expressed that faith resides in the unity among Ukrainian people and emphasized that, despite the challenges posed by war, a brighter future awaits them. Following Putin's announcement of a temporary ceasefire, Zelensky highlighted the continuation of hostilities by Russian forces, reaffirming that Ukrainians know what they are fighting for and that peace will ultimately prevail.
Because this faith is in each other. In those who stand next to you. In Ukrainian men, in Ukrainian women. Faith that evil may have its hour but God will have his day.
The day of life will come. The day of peace. The day of Ukraine. A day that lasts a century. And we will be able to gather together again.
