Zelenskyy Says Still Pressing For Prisoner Swap, But Accuses Putin Of 'Dirty' Games
Briefly

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is determined to continue efforts for a prisoner swap with Moscow, despite uncertainty over its success. He criticized Russia for not providing the full lists of prisoners for exchange as previously agreed. This lack of cooperation raises concerns regarding Russia's commitment to humanitarian issues, which could affect broader diplomatic negotiations. Additionally, Zelenskyy emphasized that significant pressure from the U.S. and Europe is necessary to compel Putin to reconsider his aggressive stance, refuting claims by Russia that Ukraine was delaying the exchange process.
Ukraine continues to do everything possible to secure the release of our POWs and the return of our fallen Ukrainian warriors.
Unfortunately, the full lists from Russia for the exchange of over 1,000 people, as agreed in Istanbul, have still not been provided.
If the Kremlin fails to comply with agreements, even on such humanitarian issues, it will cast serious doubt on all international efforts.
Only hard pressure from Washington and Europe could force Putin to back down.
