The second annual Celebrating Bay Area AAPI LGBTQ+ Women Leaders & Allies will be held May 28, 2026, from 6 to 10 pm at the SF LGBT Center during AAPI Heritage Month. Sixteen accomplished individuals from the Bay Area will be honored, including Miki Adachi, Rajasvini Bhansali, Mel Y. Chen, Margaret Cho, Alice Y. Hom, Manisha Israni-Jiang, Cj Jiang, Jane Kim, Audrey Koh, Jen Masuda, Ruth McFarlane, Michelle Meow, Priti Narayanan, Hon. Donna M. Ryu, Lynn T. Sugihara, and Michelle Zhang. Madeleine Lim and Nguyen Pham will serve as co-emcees, with welcomes from Dan Ashley, Shiyama Clunie, and co-publishers Betty Sullivan and Jennifer Viegas. Drag stars will introduce Margaret Cho, Taiko Master Tiffany Tamaribuchi will perform, and DJ China G will lead the party. Food and beverages will be provided with support from local partners, and an after party will run from 10 pm to midnight at The Academy SF.
