Illuminate LIVE launches its sixth season at the Golden Gate Bandshell with more than 125 free, all-ages performances scheduled through mid-November 2026. Since its 2020 inception, the program has presented more than 700 concerts to nearly 1 million music fans. The 2026 season features performances on Wednesdays (Midweek Melodies), Fridays (Friday Happy Hour), and Sundays (Crucial Reggae Sundays), plus select Saturdays and special cultural events. March programming includes 14 female-fronted shows celebrating International Women's Month. The diverse lineup spans R&B, soul, jazz, funk, reggae, Latin, and electronic music, emphasizing Bay Area talent. Supported by private funding, grants, and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, Illuminate LIVE has become a cornerstone of the city's free public arts scene.
