4-year-old boy attacked by coyote while standing in grandparents' California driveway: VIDEO
"All of a sudden, I just hear him screaming and I turned around and I screamed as well because I see the coyote on the top of him. I was so scared because I know how bad it could have been."
"It hurts my heart that nothing has been done. That there are not protections in place."
"We've lived with my parents in the past. [The coyotes] been around for years and when we call for help, they're saying they can't do anything."
A 4-year-old boy was attacked by a coyote in his grandmother's driveway in Carson, California. The incident was captured on surveillance video. The boy's mother, Sarina Donohoo, reacted quickly, grabbing her son and running inside. He sustained superficial puncture wounds but was not seriously injured. The boy's grandparents expressed concern over the lack of protections against coyotes in the area, which is frequently inhabited by them. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is attempting to locate the coyote involved in the attack.
