Stanford University sophomore Aradshar Chaddar tragically died after being struck by a car while riding his electric bike near campus. He was transported to the hospital but did not survive. The driver remained unharmed, and it was confirmed that no substances were involved. Chaddar, originally from Pakistan, was actively engaged in various student organizations, including the Stanford Democrats, and had contributed to the student newspaper. The university expressed their condolences and highlighted available mental health resources for the community during this difficult time.
Stanford University confirmed Chaddar was the cyclist hit early Saturday morning after notifying his family. 'It is with great sorrow that I write to share the loss of sophomore Aradshar Chaddar,' wrote Michele Rasmussen, vice provost for student affairs, on Monday.
