The acquisition rule (re)writers really want you to have your say
Briefly

The General Services Administration is leading an initiative to overhaul the rules governing federal procurement, which includes reviewing feedback from industry stakeholders. During a recent virtual town hall, Jeff Koses highlighted the importance of public input on the substantial revisions of the 2,000-page Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). While not committing to respond to comments immediately, Koses assured that industry feedback is under consideration and will impact future rulemaking. The aim is to streamline the FAR to include only essential elements and statutory requirements.
The FAR has to include all the basic necessities of federal contracting, these are necessities that may or may not be codified in law.
We're not going to formally respond to the feedback in this stage. We're reading it... it will certainly influence us when we move to the rulemaking stage.
