Despite emergency medical intervention, the 2-year-old child was pronounced dead. The adult sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Preliminary findings indicate alcohol and drugs were not contributing factors. The Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is conducting the investigation, and authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
