Here's what San Franciscans are grateful for this holiday season
"I love football. Football changed my whole life. I try to give back. Officiating is something that I've been doing for a long time,"
"It's a tradition. It's our Thanksgiving tradition. I've got my grandson. I've got another grandson coming,"
"It's been hard this year. Even having my parents coming to the U.S. There's Trump. There's restrictions. We have to worry about a lot,"
"I'm thankful I'm still here. My family's here and we're all healthy,"
People gathered in San Francisco for Thanksgiving-related events and community traditions. Kezar Stadium hosted the annual San Francisco City High School Football Championship and the Turkey Bowl. A long-time referee described football as life-changing and a way to give back through officiating. An attendee attends the Turkey Bowl yearly with grandchildren and reflected on having played in the game in 1959. A visitor to the San Francisco Botanical Gardens traveled with her parents and toddler and said this year has been difficult because of her parents' arrival, political tensions, and restrictions. Two men in recovery expressed gratitude for sobriety, family presence, and health.
