Richard Jue, the Chief of Staff for the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, was arrested for allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run incident while driving a city-owned vehicle. Jue, who has served as a veteran officer, now faces two misdemeanor charges and has been placed on paid administrative leave pending investigations. Sheriff Paul Miyamoto emphasized the department's commitment to high ethical standards and accountability, regardless of rank. The case has now been forwarded to the District Attorney's office for further action.
The Sheriff's Office holds all members regardless of rank or role to the highest ethical and professional standards,” SF Sheriff Paul Miyamoto said in a statement.
Jue is on paid administrative leave pending criminal and internal investigations as the case has been sent to the District Attorney's office.
