Police and California Highway Patrol officers stopped a planned takeover of the Bay Bridge by cyclists. Drones tracked the group as they rode the wrong way up the First Street off-ramp. Officers formed blockades at both ends of the on-ramp, preventing access to the bridge. Authorities issued 85 citations and confiscated 85 bicycles. The cyclists were reported to have swerved in and out of traffic, coming dangerously close to pedestrians before being stopped.
