Archbishop Riordan beat Sacred Heart Cathedral 56-30 at Kezar Stadium, improving to 5-0 (2-0) while Sacred Heart fell to 3-2 (1-1). Quarterback Michael Mitchell threw four touchdown passes for 348 yards, including touchdowns on his first two completions, with all but 28 passing yards coming before halftime. Riordan led 35-7 at intermission and extended the margin to 42-7 early in the second half. Junior Adonyae Brown rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns, gaining 63 of those yards in the second half. Riordan claimed its third straight 20-plus point win over Sacred Heart Cathedral and Mitchell will play at Vanderbilt after the season.
