Trail & Habitat Volunteer Work: Restoring Laguna Honda's Lost Trails | SF
"Did you know that there's another trail system in San Francisco? The trails have been off the radar for some time. SF Urban Riders is proud to announce that they're working with the Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in improving the historic multi use trails."
"This effort engages the community and new volunteers to build the trail, it also creates a new destination for visitors, is an asset to the Hospital community, and will become part of the larger San Francisco trail system that connects people in the City to a wild, inviting and educational open space."
SF Urban Riders is partnering with Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center to improve and restore historic multi use trails on the hospital property. The restoration engages community members and new volunteers in trail building and habitat work. The project creates a new destination for visitors, provides an asset for the Hospital community, and will integrate into the wider San Francisco trail system to connect city residents to wild, inviting, and educational open space. Regular volunteer sessions occur every 2nd Saturday from 9 am to 12 nn at Laguna Honda Hospital, 375 Laguna Honda Blvd. Participation is free; event details may change.
