Teddy Mutryn, an 18-year-old center from Norwell, achieved a significant milestone by being selected by the San Jose Sharks in the NHL Draft's third round at 95th overall. A recent graduate of St. Sebastian's School, Mutryn made an impressive mark in the USHL with 30 points in 47 games. He also played for Team USA in the U-18 World Junior Championship, contributing to their bronze medal win. Mutryn is the 31st draftee from his school and reflects on the pride of representing Massachusetts in the NHL.
I was watching (the pick) on TV. Actually, we had two TV's going and one was a little ahead of the other. It was a crazy experience.
There’s obviously some pride being from Boston, from Massachusetts. It’s exciting to show the world what we can do.
