Oakland Ballers gifted legacy BART car originally turned down by A's. Here's how they'll use it
Briefly

The Oakland Ballers are set to transform a retired BART car into a concession stand at Raimondi Park, highlighting Bay Area history. This legacy car, which was used for over 50 years, was initially intended for the Athletics. After the A's declined its acceptance, the Ballers swiftly accepted the opportunity to repurpose it. Their vision is to create a vibrant community space that respects and celebrates the region's history, also complemented by other historical pieces like the Stomper statues gifted from the Oakland Zoo. The car's unveiling is planned for the next baseball season.
We want Raimondi Park to feel like a living museum, where we can repurpose and bring pieces of Bay Area history for people to experience, and this is going to be a big step of that.
This legacy car arriving at the Raimondi Park was initially supposed to go to the A's to commemorate their long history in the Bay Area.
I think that's pretty much the spirit of the Ballers, is taking these things and finding another way for people to get another chance to enjoy them.
