Isambard-AI, inaugurated on 17 July 2025 outside Bristol, is the UK's fastest supercomputer, surpassing the combined power of other UK supercomputers. Its performance includes 21 exaflops of AI capability and 216 petaflops of linpack performance, ranking the machine 11th globally. The system comprises 12 cabinets with 5,448 Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and boasts a data storage capacity of 25 petabytes. Isambard-AI aims to position Bristol as a leader in AI innovation, particularly in fields like drug discovery and climate research, establishing the UK as a hub for AI research.
