"The telescope has a five-year primary mission and is expected to send 20,000 terabytes of data back to Earth for scientists to study."
NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is scheduled for launch in early September, eight months ahead of schedule. The telescope features a field of view over 100 times wider than Hubble's and will be launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy. Despite attempts by the Trump administration to cut funding, the project has persevered. The telescope's five-year mission will yield 20,000 terabytes of data, including observations of 100,000 exoplanets and billions of stars, significantly advancing scientific research.
