"Correction to: Nature https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-025-09522-w Published online 17 September 2025 In the version of the article initially published, in Fig. 1b, the exons in the top line depicting the Scn2a allele were flipped and read 3 4 5 and have now been corrected to 5 4 3 in the HTML and PDF versions of the article."

A publisher correction reports a labeling error in Fig. 1b concerning the Scn2a allele exons. The top line exons were displayed in reverse order as 3 4 5. The correct exon ordering is 5 4 3. HTML and PDF versions were updated to reflect the corrected exon sequence.
