Six food-themed constellations appear over Britain: The Sausage Roll, The Chicken Nugget, The Prawn Ring, The Cheese on a Stick, The Pig in Blanket, and The Mini Pizza. The Chicken Nugget constellation uses Orion stars Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, Mintaka, Rigel, Saiph and Alnitak, and is best seen looking south-southeast around 10pm on Thursday. A Micro New Moon will occur on Thursday, created when the Moon is near apogee and also in its New Moon phase; the Moon's Earth-facing side will be unlit, leaving very dark skies. Dark conditions will improve visibility of fainter stars and allow viewers to spot the new, food-themed constellations. Iceland Foods partnered to promote these highlights.
