"Tony Gemignani is as close to a pizza celebrity as they come in the region, having won the World Pizza Cup 13 times and appeared in the Guinness Book of World Records for many pizza-related feats (among them, making the longest pizza in the world)."
"Slice House Livermore features an extensive menu of Tony's famous New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas, available by the slice or whole pie, with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options."
"The Livermore restaurant has something the others don't right now. It's an exclusive pizza called "The True Italian," inspired by a popular offering at his brother's old Castro Valley pizzeria Pyzano's, which closed years ago. That pie is sold only by the slice and features a New York-style thin crust with pesto, mozzarella, garlic, tomato, Romano cheese and garlic oil, with the option to top it with goat cheese or ricotta and hot honey."
Tony Gemignani, a celebrated pizza expert who has won the World Pizza Cup 13 times and holds multiple Guinness World Records, is rapidly expanding his Slice House franchise throughout the Bay Area. The Livermore location opened in late February 2024 at downtown's First Street, featuring Gemignani's signature New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas available by the slice or whole pie, with dietary options including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian choices. The Livermore restaurant exclusively offers "The True Italian," a New York-style thin crust pizza inspired by his brother's former Castro Valley pizzeria. Additional Slice House locations are planned for San Jose and Menlo Park. Beyond pizza, the restaurant serves pasta, wings, salads, wine, and craft beer.
