San Jose Mineta International Airport is enhancing its retail offerings by incorporating local vendors to promote the area's culture and cuisine. This initiative aims to provide travelers with a genuine sense of place, showcasing the diversity of San Jose. With over a dozen new concessions planned, the airport is set to boost local foot traffic and sales while promoting small businesses. The project, which received substantial funding from the City Council, is expected to generate significant annual revenue and elevate the travel experience by highlighting local flavors and artistry.
"We want to make sure when people come through San Jose, there's a sense of our destination," Bray told San José Spotlight.
"SJC's new retail program will create a distinctive San Jose and Silicon Valley experience by offering visually appealing and welcoming concessions that capture."
