Brighton, UT, Report: 360s, Backflips, and Mini Chutes on 10,452' Mt. Millicent - SnowBrains
"The park was already a touch slow due to the heat. There was a fun three-jump line, with the biggest jump at the end, and I never quite got enough speed to clear it."
"I was about to walk away when I thought, 'This will be my last shot at a backflip for a while.' So, knowing damn well I'd hit the knuckle, I went for it and barely got it around."
"Milly was fun, with no one around and some neat terrain available. I goofed off in mini chutes and off mega mogul airs ranging from 10-22 inches."
"Never in my 48 years has there been heat like this in the mountains in March. Whoa... On to Alaska and cooler temps today."
A visit to Brighton Ski Resort in Utah provided an opportunity for a last park day before traveling to Alaska. The park was slow due to heat, but a three-jump line was available. Attempts at 360s were unsuccessful, but a backflip was completed. The afternoon included fun laps on the Milly Chair with minimal crowds and varied terrain. The day concluded with an unusual heat wave in Salt Lake City, marking a record high for March.
