California Ski Resort Pushes Season To June 7th With Additional Extension
Mammoth Mountain Resort extended its ski and snowboard season, moving the closing date to Sunday, June 7. Cold temperatures and fresh snow in the forecast supported the decision, with strong snow coverage on the upper mountain. The resort plans to keep the season running as long as possible, and additional extensions remain possible. The extended season overlaps with golf and mountain bike seasons, enabling skiing or snowboarding, biking, and golf in a single day through multi-sport ticket packages available online. Kids holding 2025/2026 season passes at other resorts can ski for free. High winds and low visibility closed the mountain on May 26, with operations resuming May 27. The resort runs daily from 7:30am to 1pm, with Broadway Express (1), Face Lift Express (3), and Chair 23 operating. No beginner terrain is available, and no intermediate terrain is available off Chair 23.
"Good news for California skiers and snowboarders, as Mammoth Mountain Resort has announced yet another season extension, pushing their closing date back to Sunday, June 7th. Cold temperatures and fresh snow in the forecast this week pushed the resort to the decision, with snow coverage staying strong on the upper portions of the mountain. The folks at Mammoth intend to keep the season going as late as possible, so while June 7th is the set closing date for now, further extensions are possible."
"Of course the extended season continues to overlap with the resort's golf and mountain bike seasons, providing the unique opportunity to ski/snowboard, bike, and golf all in one day. Ticket packages covering the multi-sport experience are available on the resort's website. Kids with 2025/2026 season passes at other resorts can currently ski for free at Mammoth."
"High winds and low visibility forced the closure of the mountain on Tuesday, May 26th, but lifts are set to start spinning again on Wednesday, May 27th. The resort is open daily from 7:30am to 1pm, with Broadway Express (1), Face Lift Express (3) and Chair 23 spinning. Remember, there is no beginner terrain available on the mountain at this time, and no intermediate terrain is available off of Chair 23. While everyone should be able to enjoy the slopes, it's vital that you properly evaluate your own skills before hitting the slopes."
