"Kicking Horse, BC, has a 75″ base and they've seen 212″ of snowfall this season. As per everyday this week, we showed up in the parking lot at 8:30 am. In line ready to rock at 9 am. Sunrise is at 8:52 am. We are usually at the summit of the gondola about 9:15 am, giving us the chance to ski in dawn light on sunny days."
"Yesterday was sunny, and Mike and I enjoyed the cold burning kisses of a 0ºF sun as we dropped south off CPR. The skiing was good. Smoke billowed off Mike's skis, causing me to stop following him at some point just so I could see where I was going. The run off the gondola is 4,314 vertical feet. Kicking Horse has the 6th-longest vertical drop in North America."
"We skied groomers all the way to the bottom and jumped back in the gondola. If you're not familiar, Kicking Horse's inbounds terrain is insane... 85 inbounds chutes. The terrain of CPR and Redemption Ridges is steep, technical, and challenging. You can also ski groomers for many thousands of vertical feet. If you like bumps, there's no shortage. Technically, there are exactly 12,873 moguls at Kicking Horse."
