Mammoth Mountain, CA, Spring Skiing 2026 Enters Its Final Stretch With Two Lifts Closing
"Unbound Express (Chair 6) and Gold Rush Express (Chair 10) ceased operations after Saturday, May 17. All lift access is based out of Main Lodge, with operating hours shifted to 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily to make the most of firm morning corn conditions before afternoon heat takes hold."
"Beginning Sunday, May 18, the active lift network consists of Broadway Express (Chair 1), Stump Alley Express (Chair 2), Face Lift Express (Chair 3), Chair 23, and the Panorama Gondola, operating conditions permitting. Skiers and riders looking ahead to Memorial Day weekend can expect an additional option: High Five Express (Chair 5) is set to reopen for the holiday period, conditions permitting."
"The resort also confirmed that no beginner terrain remains available for the rest of the season. The ski area plans to run through May 31. Snow conditions start firm and fast early in the day before turning over to the spring corn snow the resort is known for. The resort has seen 293″ of snow this season and current base depths are running 38″ around Main Lodge, 52″ at McCoy Station, and 125″ across the upper mountain."
"The Mammoth Bike Park is scheduled to open May 22, giving guests the option to pair a morning ski session with an afternoon ride, a combination the resort has leaned into as its “Second Season” identity. Sierra Star Golf Course opened May 15, with Snowcreek Golf Course already operating."
