On the final jump in the course, Canter put down a backside 1980 (five and a half rotations), earning a score of 79.36 and putting him on the podium. The 22-year-old celebrated as his score came in, and his spot on the podium was cemented by his impressive run."

Men's snowboard slopestyle finals concluded in Livigno with twelve riders each taking three runs and the best score counting. Su Yiming won gold with an 82.41 earned on his first run that featured a switch frontside 180 into a backside rodeo 540 and a closing backside 1440. Taiga Hasegawa took silver with an 82.13 after landing a switch backside 1620 and a backside double rodeo 1260. Jake Canter claimed bronze by landing a backside 1980 on his third run for a 79.36. Yiming turned 22 that day and now has three Olympic medals; Red Gerard and Oliver Martin did not podium.
