Skiing The Longest Continuous Run In The United States
"Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is home to the longest continuous vertical rise of any ski resort in the United States, with 4,139 feet between the valley floor and the top of Rendezvous Mountain. While there isn't a specific trail that runs from the very top to the very bottom, skiing the distance can take quite some time. European ski instructor Marius Quast took a trip to the Wyoming resort, testing out all that it has to offer"
"and, of course, taking a peak inside the legendary Corbet's Couloir. While there, Quast rode the resort from the very top to the very bottom in one continuous run, taking him a solid chunk of time to get all the way down. According to the video, the run stretches 11km, or just under 7 miles. Quast rides from the East Ridge Traverse into Dick's Ditch and down the entire mountain."
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort features the longest continuous vertical rise in the United States at 4,139 feet from the valley floor to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. No single marked trail covers the entire vertical drop, so skiing the full distance requires routing and time. European ski instructor Marius Quast descended from the summit to the base in one continuous run, briefly entering the famous Corbet's Couloir. The run measured approximately 11 km (just under 7 miles) and followed East Ridge Traverse into Dick's Ditch before descending the full mountain.
